*IMPORTANT We have had reports that when entering if you are unrated the look up player option DOES NOT FIND you, if you are having this issue just fill in the boxes marked with a *symbol and leave the others blank.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
- This tournament is hosted and managed by Lightcliffe Skoda Warrington. By entering this congress you agree to receive a welcome e-mail from Lightcliffe Skoda and be added to the event's mailing list. If you do not want to receive future communications from Lightcliffe Skoda, you may unsubscribe at any time.
- All players MUST be ECF registered prior to entry acceptance. PLEASE REGISTER YOUR CHILD ON THE ECF (ENGLISH CHESS FEDERATION) WEBSITE (ECF registration will be free for "new" juniors registering with the ECF for the first time - see link to ECF site here ECF Web Site
- Entries received after Wednesday 29th June 2022, will require additional £5 late entry fee.
- Entries received after 18:00 Thursday 30th June 2022, if accepted, will require additional £10 fee'.
Pairings
- In all sections players will be paired using Swiss-Manager. Pairings will be posted at the venue. No discussion will be entered into concerning the pairings.
- All boards in all sections will play using digital clocks at a rate of 15 minutes and 10 secs added per move.
- Nobody gets knocked out and players are expected to play all five rounds.
- If a player needs to leave early, please inform the controllers prior to leaving or upon your arrival if possible.
Rating
- The June ECF Rapid Play Rating List will be used to determine a player's rating.
- Rating Information - It is a condition of entry that players agree to their rating information being published on the ECF website.
Other Information
- Parents may stay with children where necessary but it is preferred that older juniors who are part of a school or team stay with their nominated TEAM manager.
- Limited parking is available onsite, also on road parking nearby.
- All mobile phones / alarms must be turned off and not on your person during play.
- There will be an outside catering van at the venue, serving hot food and drinks.
- Before the event we will email all entrants players details and other useful information, please check your details are correct and let us know of any errors or emissions.
- Disputes must be resolved before a player leaves the tournament hall and in all cases the decision of the arbiter is final.
- We will offer a range of fantastic non cash prizes and trophies. Our intention is that nobody will go home empty handed!
- As many children may not have an official rating, we allow entrents to use your own discretion which section you enter, however we reserve the right to place you in a different section if it is decided that your skill level is too high or low for the section entered originally.
