Eligibility - We are restricting entries to those who have previously entered a FIDE Weekend event, or those who are well know to the arbiters.
ECF Online Rated - This event is an ECF online rated event, all games will be submitted to the ECF for rating.

Fair Play Measures

Real Names and Lichess user ID's will be on public display.
Players must have a valid lichess account, players with a closed account will not be allowed continue in the tournament.
We will screen the games using the FIDE Screening tool run by Professor Ken Regan after the event and during the event if possible.
We will also have a member of the FIDE Fair Play Commission overseeing our Anti Cheating measures.

Entry

Please use the on-line entry page to add your entry, then use the Pay button. Entries will be automatically entered onto the Entries page when your payment has been accepted. The entry fee is £4, which includes entry to the Friday evening blitz. For none ECF members, a £5 play to pay fee will be imposed. Alternatively, the ECF Supporter membership is £10, valid until the end of August 2021.
Please note, when completing the entry form, if you are an ECF member, please enter Yes to 'ECF Members or Supporte' to reduce the fee to £4.

Sections

Open - Open to all.
Minor - Open to those with a rating under 1600.

Friday Evening Blitz

Everyone may enter the our Friday Evening blitz on the Friday before the event, the 19th. It starts at 7.30 and will be run on the Lichess platform. There is no additional entry fee for this tournament.

Ratings and Pairings

We will use Swiss Manager for pairings.

We will take ratings in preference from the following lists:

  • ECF March 2021 online rating
  • ECF March 2021 Rapidplay rating list
  • ECF March 2021 Standard rating list
  • Other Ratings that the organisers feel appropriate

Rate of Play

Each player will have 15 minutes plus a 10 second increment per move from move 1

Conditions of Entry

The organisers reserve the right to:
  • Enforce the platform's anti-cheating rules
  • Eject people from the tournament
  • Players must have a lichess.org account
  • Transfer entrants between events
  • Split or merge events depending on numbers
  • The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry without assigning a reason
  • Take any other measures deemed necessary to ensure the smooth running of the event
