Lothian Junior Chess Taster Tournament 2025
Broughton High School, 9 East Fettes Ave, Edinburgh EH4 1EG
Saturday 1st February 2025
Our Taster Tournament is running alongside the Lothian Junior Championships and is targeted at younger children and those who feel that to start straight into a six round event might be too big a first step. Entry for the taster is limited to Primary School players living in Edinburgh, Lothians and the Scottish Borders area, and the players should not yet have a grading and have played in less than two of our events. It's fun and there are lots of prizes! Entry Fee: £2 by midnight Wednesday 29th January and £4 thereafter The organisers reserve the right to decline/cancel entry Refreshments We expect refreshments, including hot and cold drinks, soup, rolls, home-baking, fruit, crisps etc to be available at a fundraising cafe run by the Broughton Association. Grading The taster tournament will not be graded Supervision Players are only supervised whilst in the playing hall and therefore Lothian Junior Chess events are not drop off events.
