Hamilton Chess Club is celebrating the 90th anniversary of GM Bent Larsen’s birth on Saturday 8th March 2025
Venue: Hamilton Bowling Club, Strathmore Road, Hamilton ML3 6AQ
The tournament will have 2 sections - Open and Under 1500 (CS Grading). Both sections will be Chess Scotland allegro graded and FIDE rapidplay rated. Section eligibility and seeding will be based on Chess Scotland allegro grading.
Players must have a FIDE ID for the tournament. If you do not have one, please see the Chess Scotland website for information on how to obtain one.
There will be cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and 1 grading prize in each section. Prizes will be determined from level of entry
Any questions regarding prizes should be made to the tournament director prior to entry
Entry Fee £17. Chess Scotland members get a £2 discount
Time Control is 15 mins + 10 sec increment per player.
The organiser reserves the right to change the prizes, venue, timings and any other feature of the tournament to ensure its smooth running.The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry without assigning a reason or take any other measures deemed necessary to ensure the smooth running of the congress. Tea, coffee and a selection of soft drinks etc. will be available.
A GM Bent Larsen raffle will be available.
