ECF Pay to play fee

Bronze or none members of the English Chess Federation (ECF) pay an additional £7.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:

  • Entries received after Tuesday 24 March 2020, if accepted, will require additional £5 late entry fee.
  • Entries received after 00:00 Sunday 29 March 2020, if accepted, will require additional £10 'On the day fee'.

    Pairings

  • In all sections of both events players will be paired using Swiss-Manager. Pairings will be posted at http://www.chess-results.com/ and at the venue. No discussion will be entered into concerning the pairings.
  • Nobody gets knocked out and players are expected to play all seven rounds.
  • If a player needs to leave early, please inform the controllers prior to leaving or upon your arrival if possible.

    Grading

  • The January ECF Rapidplay Grading List will be used to determine a player's grade. For players who do not appear in the Rapidly List, other lists may be used at the discretion of the organisers. Ungraded players must provide evidence for the organisers to assess their playing strength and any previous known grade must be declared.
  • Grading Information - It is a condition of entry that players agree to their grading information being published on the ECF website.

    Other Information

  • No player may win more than one prize.
  • Contact details will be stored on a computer for sending out details of future events organised by www.chessentriesforall.com.
  • Free Parking at the school, it is best to park round the back as the car park at the front is small.
  • All mobile phones / alarms must be turned off and not on your person during play.
  • A player may withdraw at any point up to close of early bird entry, Tuesday 24th March subject to a £6 administration fee. Withdrawal subsequent to this date forfeits the full entry fee.
  • Refreshments may be available at the venue on a burger van - hot and cold drinks, burgers, bacon rolls, hot dogs, etc.
