Hosting Costs
Over the last the year the internet hosting costs have increased and are now £54.60 per month. This is because:
- System now has a dedicated email server, so that there is no limit on the sending of mass emails in a day, and that no emails blocked as SPAM due to reputation issues caused by other users of the server.
- The system now has its own VPS (Virtual Private Server) so that we are not limited by database settings causing system errors.
- More memory has been added, because there is an increase in web traffic due to hackers, bots and search engines. All web hosting providers have this issue.
There is a link to an example bill showing the cost break down below.

I am hoping that if I ask for a donation of 2p per entry for each congress that will cover the costs. Under the admin tab of your congress, it now has a link called hosting donations which shows how much I think your organisation has donated. If you click on the link, it takes you to a page where you can donate via paypal. If you have already donated (for example by bank transfer) and the amount shown does not reflect that please let me know. If you wish to donate by bank transfer please ask for
bank details using the contact form.
