Each player will have 20 minutes plus a 5-second increment per move from move 1.

The venue is only 3 minutes (1.2 miles) from the M6 Junction 25 or 8 minutes (2.8 miles) from the M58 or 18 minutes (7.1 miles) from the M61. If you are arriving by train the venue is only a 5-minute Taxi Ride from Wigan North Western & Wigan Wallgate Train Stations
There is free car parking on site and within the St Judes Church Car Park (Entry on St.Pauls Avenue)

The fully licensed bar will be open to all members of the chess tournament.
St Judes will also serve Tea, Coffee, and Latte and light refreshments during the day.
The JANUARY 2025 ECF Rapidplay Rating List will determine a player’s grade. For players who do not appear in the Rapidplay List, other lists may be used at the organisers' discretion. Ungraded players must provide evidence for the organisers to assess their playing strength and any previous known grade must be declared.
Rating Information – It is a condition of entry that players agree to their rating information being published on the ECF website.
The organisers reserve the right to redistribute in whole or in part
any prize won by a competitor who has won or shared a prize.
The organisers reserve the right to increase or decrease prize money based on entry numbers.
Unrated players who win a tournament outright may only win 50% of the first prize.
Ten minutes after the start of each round, new pairings may be made for each player whose opponent has not arrived and for any player otherwise having a full-point bye. Absent players will be defaulted after 10 minutes.
In all matters the organisers decision shall be final and entry is considered acceptance of the tournament rules.
